We are non-governmental organization committed to improving the lives of artisans and informal sector workers in Kenya. We work closely with the government, TVET institutions, and industry stakeholders to create structured apprenticeship programs and promote skill development. Our goal is to ensure that artisans and trainees are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the modern economy.

oUR Role in Dual TVET

Our Partnership in Dual TVET Implementation

As a key partner in the Dual TVET policy, Skilled Artisans and Informal Apprenticeship – Kenya Chapter plays a crucial role in:

  • Facilitating awareness and dissemination forums for the Dual TVET policy.
  • Mapping Jua Kali industry clusters and Mastercraftspersons (MCPs) for collaboration with TVET institutions.
  • Supporting the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between TVET institutions and Jua Kali enterprises.
  • Ensuring that artisans and trainees receive both theoretical and practical training to bridge the skills gap.
