We are implementing a pilot program in the Jua Kali sector, aiming to create structured and institutionalized linkages between 50 TVET Institutions and Jua Kali Industry Associations, Clusters, and Mastercraftspersons (MCPs) across Kenya.
This initiative aims to strengthen ties between education and industry. Through regional awareness forums, we engage communities and highlight the importance of the Dual TVET policy. Additionally, we are identifying and mapping Jua Kali clusters to better connect TVET institutions with local enterprises, fostering valuable partnerships that enhance vocational training.
Our apprenticeship programs are designed to provide hands-on training to artisans and informal sector workers. By partnering with Mastercraftspersons (MCPs) and TVET institutions, we ensure that trainees gain real-world experience and develop the skills needed to succeed in their trades.
We organize skill development workshops to help artisans and informal sector workers stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. These workshops cover a wide range of trades, from carpentry and metalwork to automotive repair and electronics.
Skilled Artisans and Informal Apprenticeship Association – Kenya Chapter is dedicated to empowering artisans through education and training partnerships.
